I'm considering upgrading my 5GB iCloud plan to a higher one. I want to start storing all of my photos in iCloud. Is there a limit on the resolution of photos and video that you store in iCloud Photos? I know that in Google Photos you're limited to 1080p video, and I was wondering if iCloud did the same.

    No they upload as is.

I recently signed up to the 79p (99c) iCloud package and moved all my photos from google across.
Now I've got full resolution copied on iCloud and a limited version in Google as a backup

    You're welcome.
As good as iCloud is you'll need a backup elsewhere
