iCloud music library is not syncing to my phone from my laptop

I have all of my apple music songs on my laptop. I turned off my iCloud Music Library on my phone (as it wasn't updating when I downloaded songs on my Mac). I have just turned it back on and now NONE of my apple music from my Mac is being transferred through 'the cloud' onto my iPhone. Can anyone tell me how long this process might take? Or if I have just lost everything on my phone and have to re-download it all?

Please make sure you're logged in in iCloud with the same credentials as in iTunes.

Also check if you have enabled iCloud Music Library enabled on your iPhone under Settings > Music.
