    I cannot locate the emails that were sent directly from my camera on the ipad.

    Go to Settings → Mail, Contacts, Calendars→ Default Account and then check to see what email account is displayed. Afterwards, initiate the native Mail app (I'm assuming that is what you're using for email purposes) and then go to the default email account's "sent" folder to locate your sent email containing the photos.
