Device Still Connected to iCloud but not Find My iPhone?

Hello-

I have an old iPhone 5 still connected to my iCloud account but it's not listed as a device in Find My iPhone. I no longer have access to the phone and I wiped the phone before I got rid of it but am still confused as to why it's still showing up in my devices list on iCloud. Any ideas on how to permanently delete the device from my account?

You should have an option to remove it from your iCloud Account. Unfortunately I'm on iCloud and it wont load my devices, so maybe they're having issues.

I've checked it and there's not "x" button or remove button or anything. I've checked on and off for the last couple weeks.
