Uploaded some files into self-created folders on iCloud Drive (Books, Comics, etc.). Any other device (Macs) that I try to view these files on, I see the file type and (iCloud synchronization file) in parentheses. The file name has the iCloud download symbol (as in iTunes), but does not download. The file cannot be accessed on other computers. According to the Apple rep, this is a problem, not an issue; he said iCloud Drive is not locked to apps for storage, but is open to use in any manner. Any ideas? Screenshots on request.

    Thanks!

I agree with the rep. I can login to my iCloud Drive online via my MacBook and upload and download files at will. I can't replicate your issue nor do I see anything in regard to "*(Synchronization File)". Try rebooting the Mac and try again.

Thanks - oddly, that fixed it. I hope I don't have to reboot every time I sync between them - Sad Mac user would be sad then.
