ICloud backup question

I weekly backup my IP 5S on my laptop due to the fact that I dont have access to wireless network at my house(Live to far in the woods and refuse to pay high prices for satellite internet). However I connect my PC at work thru a LAN cable for internet. Is there any way to backup the phone thru the laptop and LAN cable or must it be done strictly thru wireless connection. Thanks

When I have the backup to iCloud option check-marked on iTunes, on a computer connected to the internet, when my phone is connected, I've found that it still doesn't actually backup to iCloud when I sync. I think it's a little weird that it doesn't. Otherwise, why even have that option? It could just give us the option to turn off computer backups when we sync. Why disguise it as backup to iCloud?

You should use iTunes backup at home for this purpose as you have been. WiFi backups are just a means of convenience, not required nor different from cable backups.
