Like many of you, I was a big into Ubuntu and was dual booting it with my Windows PC years ago. I'm sure many of you still use Ubuntu and may be wondering if you can use iCloud with it. Well, to the best of my knowledge, there is no iCloud Control panel like there is with Windows, but you can still access your iCloud account via a web browser. Still, some of you would like to configure iCloud email on your Ubuntu device. Configuring your email client with the following settings should get you up and running.

    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:

    • Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 993
    • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password

    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

    • Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    • SSL Required: Yes
    • Port: 587
    • SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    • Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    • Password: Your iCloud password

Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead.
Other than that, you will need to use your web browser to view your iCloud information. If any of you know of any other ways, please chime in.
