Is there a fix for iCloud duplicate contacts? How do you keep your contacts organized?

I have about 450 contacts, for me I do it the old fashioned way (lot's of clicking) ... Are there better options?

Why would you have duplicate contacts in iCloud if what you add or delete from your Phone is only going to iCloud? I had that problem with Verizon and their backup assistant app and iCloud but I resolved it but going into VZW and my account where you manage contacts. I deleted everything I no longer needed and then went back to the app. and resyncd. That took of that issue. I also made sure they were not being pulled from someplace else like my gmail email which I shut those off. I now when I add or delete it only goes to iCloud and Verizon.

If you have duplicate contacts, I'd turn off iCloud sync on all my devices. Then fix them all locally, on my Mac/PC. Then do a backup of the contacts on my Mac/PC, into a single Vcard file. Then remove them all from the Contacts app. Then remove them from iCloud.com. Then add the contacts back to the Contacts app, and re-enable iCloud sync.
