I am slightly confused how the photostream folder works on my PC. Is it a direct reflection of what I see on my phone, or is it used as an archive. Do I need to move the files in the Photostream folder every so often so I don't lose them, or will they just stay there and add up over time?

I'm pretty sure it's like an archive on the PC

The reason I ask is that if I delete a picture on my phone in PhotoStream it deletes on my PC. So if pictures start removing themselves due to how Apple has restricted the days PhotoStream is current on your phone, will they disappear in my PhotoStream folder on my PC? Does any of this make sense?

I'm pretty sure they stay after the 30 days because my photo stream on my Apple TV was holding about two months of pictures.

The folder on your computer is a reflection of the photostream on your device(s). However, the photostreams on iDevices only keep the last 1,000 photos or the last 30 days of photos. Your CPU will store all photos that were ever in your photostream. This is because CPUs have more storage.
