Information on iCloud please

Have a 4s coming in the mail tommorow and currently I use a PC and Live email address. I do have a apple id with my live email. When i create my icloud tommorow does it generate a "@me" email for me? Just looking to get rid of my live email and have a apple email. If so will I always have access to the @me or is it going away soon? Thanks for the information.

Yes you will get an @me email address and it's not going away. Do note that anything you bought on your apple id for the live email is tied to it. You won't be able to access it for free with the iCloud one.

You can also keep your old Apple ID for iTunes purchases only (if you already have one) and create a new .me account for your iCloud stuff (contacts/calendar/mail/etc). Everything will still work perfectly. That is how I do it.
