I have purchased a couple of books via iBooks to read and would like to share then with a friend who also has an iPad. I tried to store the books on iDisk then sent my friend a link to download them but it is not working. She gets a message that says it cannot be downloaded from Safari.

Is there a way to share iBooks with a fellow iPad friend?

Is there a way to share movies as well?

Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. That would certainly work. So I can't place it on iDisk for them to grab it there?

TXdogs,
you can put the file on iDisk, but it cannot be used by anyone that can download it.

The file is DRM-protected and can be downloaded to, and read, on up to five iTunes-equipped computers, and unlimited iPads, iPod touches, or iPhones. You can also add non-DRM protected ePub files from other sources into iBooks (and so can your friend). It's DRM if in the properties of the file, it shows "Purchased Book", and if it's just "Book", it's non-DRM. Also, you cannot gift books at this time.
