HomePod dropping sound w/Netflix

To start, everything is updated to the latest software version.

Apple TV 4K
Original HomePod

The HomePod is set as the default audio output device.

The issue seems to only happen with the Netflix app on the Apple TV 4K.

What happens is this: it’s working fine, but every few minutes the sound drops for a split second and then continues. It almost sounds like they’re censoring a curse or something, but it’s definitely not that.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes? I can’t find much online about it.

Having a similar problem. Hopefully we will get some suggestions.

Did this issue correct itself for either of you? I have Netflix going right now & haven’t experienced any issue with sound cutting out.

No. This is an on going issue … it’s been going on for me for months.

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. I’d definitely be annoyed. Have you tried to reset your HomePod or contact Apple Support? I know HomePod is discontinued, but they still offer support.

No, I didn’t reset my HomePod, but after the update it seems to be fixed. I was watching Netflix for hours yesterday and it didn’t happen even once so here’s hoping it’s good now! 🤞🏻
