In iOS 7 there is a new feature called "FaceTime Audio". Most people know FaceTime that was demoed and allows video to video calls between iOS and OS X devices. FaceTime Audio is the same thing but only Audio, like a regular call. It lets a user call from an iOS device (iPod, iPhone, iPad) to another iOS device or an OS X device (iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, etc.) via Wifi and on the iPhone or iPad via data also. Now that most phone plans are rather large why is this still needed? Well it allows long distance calls and it also works in areas with spotty reception if there is Wifi available. How do you make a FaceTime Audio call? It's easy just follow these steps:

    Siri
Activate Siri and say "FaceTime Audio"
Siri will ask who you want to call
Say the contacts name to start a FaceTime Audio call

    iOS Device
    Tap "Phone"

Thanks guys it's unreal how clear the calls are. I didn't think it would be such a difference but now whenever my wife is home I tell her to always call me using FaceTime Audio.
