Couldn't you setup a Google account on iPhone's email feature and have Push too? I'm really new to the iPhone and thought this feature was already possible. Please fill me in on what I'm missing. Thanks!

With Push added to Gmail, you don't need MobileMe. Google will sync contacts, calendar, and mail, all with Push

Yes as it uses exchange, but you can not mix contacts or calendar entries.

Thanks. I guess the only reason to keep MobileMe would be for finding and/or locking your phone remotely.

if you have mobile me though, why would you even want to use the gmail push? this is cool though! i wish it had come out a few months ago, would have saved me a little bit of moola.

this was only directed at the poster who said would they work together. i understand that no everyone likes or uses mobile me. just thought i would clarify a little.

You can get a year of MobileMe on Amazon for 60 bucks.
