I did the research and Android is not going to cut it for me soooooooo...

I’m keeping my X because it works.
I’m keeping my IPP because I love it

But since my eyesight sucks big greasy platypus balls, I need something larger than my phone but more portable than my IPP so I was thinking of an iPad mini.
    For maps during hikes, especially.

What is everyone’s 2 cents on the iPad mini 2019? I need to download maps, take pics, use a pencil to draw on maps , access the internet, and email.

How far away is your nearest Apple Store? You could try one out.

If you know what you want, why the hesitation?

I love the mini and when my 10.5” gets passed on to my daughter that’s what I’m gonna get. It’s almost the perfect tablet. Almost. Haha

Because of that, Android telephones vary widely in size, weight, features, and quality. Premium-priced Android phones manage to be as good as the iPhone in courses of hardware quality, but cheaper Android choices are more prone to problems. Of course, iPhones can have hardware issues, too, but they're usually higher quality.

I would stick with the new iPad Mini myself, two of my clients have them and love them. My sister has had several Android tablets and always complains about the units freezing and app issues.

She bought a new iPad mini after asking my opinion and she loves the thing. She likes the screen, simplicity and tells me it just works. My response is always the same, I told you so!!!

I enjoy the iPad Mini. Wish it had pencil support, but it has become my primary device anyway.
