Get with a friend or family member who actually knows you and your tastes and have one of them help you decide which color you should get when you purchase your iPhone. If you’re going to buy it and then put a non-clear case on it, does it really matter?

That’s not something Apple offers.

I like silver and have owned every iPhone in silver since my iPhone 4 with the exception of my 7 Plus that I got in black. Does that mean you should buy a silver iPhone? Apparently it does.

Yep, you’re good with either Silver or Gold.
Don’t buy Space Gray or any other colors. I don’t like those colors.
