No other phone company provides actual sales figures. Perhaps Apple could have handled this change better, but they're just following the practices of other companies. I admit Tim Cook's analogy of a store checkout wasn't very good. I think the main reason their stock is falling is the disappointing advice they gave concerning sales for the next quarter.

As someone who follows the market everyday and owns stocks, none of which include a share of Apple, I think it's a good move. It gives Wall Street one less thing to speculate on with Apple to manipulate the price. That's all Wall Street is. Talk, talk, talk, talk...
