It’ll be interesting to see if anything new comes out of this probe.

This probe is ridiculous, in my opinion. If I were a man, I’d surmise that it has nothing to do with customers complaints, but more to do about how to get its claws into Apple, specifically, on its money.

Either way, Apple had the choice to not do that and avoid this probe. They chose otherwise. They'll be just fine and you'll forgive me if I don't feel any sympathy for them.

    No doubt about it.

(Laughing)....Sympathy? I’m not sympathizing with Apple. I’m just saying that the probe is bogus and is not a matter in which the government should be involved.

Apple is answering their questions. I’m confident this will be open and shut. Then hopefully everyone goes back to their business and just enjoys their stupid phones.

Paranoid? This is just a preliminary request for information with respect to U.S. securities laws compliance. Public companies get these all of the time (believe me, I know, having responded to many of them). Something may or may not come of it, but you can rest assured that Apple will be competently represented throughout the entire process. Just my humble opinion, but to me, I would bet your stance would be different if the subject of the inquiry was Google, rather than Apple, n'est pas?

Then you clearly don't know me. If the circumstances were the same with Google being probed, I would still find it ridiculous.

You're right. I "clearly" don't know you, but will continue to question why you would find a securities regulator's routine preliminary inquiry "ridiculous". In my book, that's called "doing one's job".
