Hi everyone

I have an iPhone 5 and when I bought it a long time ago, I had 16GB available.
Im having alot of issues with the storage because now its saying that the capacity is 13.12GB and I have only 1.29GB or less. I can't use my phone properly because of this. I have only one app installed (instagram) and nothing else. I have almost 8GB of music and 1.18GB of photos, which I constantly have to load to my laptop to save space. I talked to an Apple agent on their live chat, but got no direct answer. Only said it can be from the new software. Could this be from the updates? Ive tried to go back to iOS 9 atleast but there is no way from what i know. None of it makes sense. What can i do to fix this?

I will try to attach a picture.
Thank you!

If you purchased a 16 GB iPhone 5, you did not have 16 GB of available storage because the size of the installed iOS version is deducted from the 16 GB. Having said that, with you using 8 GB of local storage for music and another gig for photos, you may indeed only have a gig and a quarter left, depending on other saved data like SMS messages, email attachments, documents, saved game data, etcetera. If I were you, I'd removed the 8 GB of music or at least ½ of it. Do you really need that much music stored on the device? Can you not connect to Wi-Fi and stream music via a music streaming service or something?

You really need the battery Dr. app. I started a thread in here not too long ago maybe a month and a half or so or two months and someone mentioned to me how good the battery Dr. app will clear everything out and I actually gained 4 or 5 free gigs of storage space. I was down to 2 Gigs. I also have 50 apps on my device at any given time. I also have a 16 GB iPhone. Here is the app I'm talking about, but there are definitely some tricks to using it. I'll try to find the other thread's name

Once you start using this app be sure to keep Clearing the cache several times and not just once. It will really make all the difference!!

And this shows you that I have 55 apps on my 16 GB iPhone 5c and the total amount that I freed just now is actually more than what this app shows, so it really works great.
