    Which server protocol is more reliable, stable and secure for using in macOS and iOS?: OpenVPN or L2TP?. Thank you in advance.

    OpenVPN is industry standard and considered more reliable because of its SSL/TLS key exchange and other features. However, some people say that it slow downs your internet speed. L2TP/IPsec is the second most protocol used if you don't want to use OpenVPN.

    L2TP has strong encryption than PPTP..

    PPTP and L2TP is common with most OS as well as better security then PPTP, while OpenVPN u need client/software usually to use.
