Does iPhone 4 support iOS 8 or above?

I have been looking for iPhone 4s & 4 on the web and online store not that I want to buy it but I'm interested in and I come to a question. Since iPhone 4s can support up to iOS 8 but I'm not sure that iPhone 4 can support up to iOS 8. If someone can help me out with this that would be great ! Thank you!

iOS 7.1.2 is the latest version supported on the iPhone 4

You should buy iphone 4s if you want ios 8 or even ios 9 supports. But it's not gonna support ios 10, just saying.

iPhone 4, no. It's only up to iOS 7. However iPhone 4s does support up to iOS 9.

True. My 4s is on 9.3.5.

I had an old 4s. I tried to update it to ios 9, and it worked.

but not sure how about the iPhone 4.
