I am not being able to use selfie stick.

Easiest is to leave the "selfie stick" at home and get someone else to take the picture for you.

Welcome to iMore! You shouldn't need to change any settings. The selfie stick mimics the volume up button on your device. When you press the button on your selfie stick with your Camera app open it should trigger your phone to snap a photo. If this isn't happening there's probably an issue with your selfie stick or with your phone's audio port.

Another vote for just plug it in and press the button. No settings or software needed, particularly for a wired version.
