    I don't know if it is me but I find that all the google apps work great together and better on my iphone than the Apple stock ones. Am I just crazy here? inbox better than mail; google play music better than apple music; google calendar app better than apple calendar....and the rest also.

    That's definitely a matter of preference but if the Google apps suit your needs better than Apple's offerings then I salute you!

    Sorry maybe that came out wrong. I was actually wondering if I am doing something wrong. For instance when i get a email in Inbox it automatically populates with google search app. Also emails in Inbox also categorize trips as trips and things like that. Does apples native apps auto detect things like that?

    Yes they do and I think  has really closed the gap between their stock apps and Google apps.

    With iOS 10 system wide integration is gonna be even better.

    This I have to agree, Apple has never been as proficient as Google in the area of maps and even email.
