    Never had a problem with my lightning connectors, and if you have one, get an Apple store to look at it.

    I had this happen to me a while back. I found that it had a lot of pocket lint in the connector hole. I took a toothpick and gently removed the lint and it fixed the problem. The keyword is gently, since I didn't want to mess anything up and make things worse. Hope this helps!
