    I changed my Apple ID email address (the old one is in the list of alternatives) but my iPads still retain the old ID email and will not recognise passwords in iTunes, iCloud, and App store

    Welcome to iMore! You may just need to give it some time and then try to login using the new email address again. I've had a similar issue with changing my password. My other devices wouldn't immediately recognize it. After a day or two the problem remedied itself.
