How can I delete photo albums from my phone.

I have tried the simple select them then delete, it doesn't work. When I try to transfer to iCloud they are there

If they were originally created in iTunes then you need to delete them from there first then sync

Which albums? Those you create on the phone you can delete. Those, like Selfies, panoramas, and screenshots were created by Apple and can not be deleted. You can delete all the photos in the albums, then the album deletes itself.
