Why can't I get my draft email to open?

I cannot get my draft email to open

I was doing an email and had to check some info so I closed it by hitting save draft now when I go back to draft it is grey not black and does not respond when I touch it.

Welcome to iMore! First, try accessing the draft by long pressing the "pen and paper" icon in the lower right corner of the inbox. That should bring up all the drafts. Then tap on the draft. If that doesn't work, try swiping the mail app out of multitasking. Then try deleting the email account in Settings, then add it back in.
