UK may vote in a law forcing tech companies to make a back door (hardware and software companies). If this passes what options do we have?

I can't speak to the options we will have.
I remember a few years back when India wanted a backdoor into Blackberry, and all the First World cried foul. How dare India demand a backdoor so they can crack down on their freedom-loving dissidents.
Well. Now look who is wanting a backdoor...
Shame on the USA and UK!
