How can I unlock a locked iPhone?

Locked iphone

My nephew tried to put his thumbprint in my phone and now it's wanting a passcode. He don't remember it and my phone is saying disabled. How do i fix this? Everyone tells me to connect to itunes but itunes says i have to unlock it first, please help.
