safari will not open and cannot erase the app
I downloaded the incorrect version of safari on my mac book pro; I am running os x 10.6.8, but downloaded safari 7.1 which should be downloaded and running on a higher os x platform. Now when I attempt to open safari the ICON has a diagonal line thru it and I get an error message. at this time i am unable to remove safari and i get a document file type instead of a DMG. Answrs?
