Choice of mini 2, iPad air or iPad 4?

Choice of mini 2, ipad air or ipad 4

For my 6 year old granddaughter (who uses an ipad in school a lot) I can buy a brand new Ipad mini for $215 ($199+tax at Walmart), a used Ipad Air for $225 or a used Ipad 4 with an Otter case for $250. Really confused which way to go.
Any advice, I'm new to the Ipad game!!

I would suggest the iPad Air if it is in good used condition. The iPad Mini 2 & iPad 4 are getting on in age. Still both very usable. This is why I suggest the Air. Should be able to last her a few years.

Thanks. I was leaning that way but the new mini 2 and the 4 in an otter case confused me!
