Why won't my Messages load?

Messages won't load

If i start messages it will only show a white screen and some lines
Also it will make my ipad lag very very much

Messages won't load where? In iMessage? Mail? Instagram?
What makes your iPad lag?
If you refer to iMessage, try toggling off iMessage in Settings > Messages. Then sign out of iMessage. Do a hard reset.
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.

Then sign back in to iMessage. Toggle iMessage back on.
