    Hello!
Looking for some insight on these two...
I currently own the macbook with retina 13 inch. I love it do not get me wrong but I really don't use it for all that it is- so i plan on selling it and getting either the pro or the new macbook... I mainly do internet, shopping, Apple music... Really sums it up, some photos here and there. Looking for simple and thin and more portable
Torn between either the new macbook or iPad pro.... any thoughts?

Yes. You stated that you planned on selling your MacBook Pro for either the iPad Pro or the new MacBook. Right? It would be useless to sell it for a non-Pro version MacBook, despite it being the newest model, because your usage doesn't justify it. Besides, a MacBook is still a MacBook whether a Pro model or not. Having said that, if you're going to see the MacBook Pro, use that money to get the iPad Pro. It's portable, powerful, and is arguably perfect for your described usage, in my opinion...

iPad pro if you can justify the size and you can add the keyboard if you want!

The retina Macbook is not going to do anything your Pro can't currently do better. It's a slick device but not particularly powerful for a desktop computer. Do you currently have an iOS device (iPhone, smaller iPad, etc.?) If so and you find you can do everything with that device, you will probably be happier with the iPad Pro than with a computer.

I personally wouldn't trade my Pro in (I'd give up all my other Apple gadgets first) but if you're finding that it is to bulky and an iPad meets your needs, going with an Air or Pro would be a good call. They're lightweight, powerful, and can easily be fitted with a keyboard to handle a great deal of basic office work.

You wouldn't trade a pro for a macbook?

It's not about which device is "better". Better is a relative term. Not considering the financial aspect, and the fact that I can sell things for money, I wouldn't trade in my iPhone for ten MacBooks.
Your needs don't really call for a MacBook IMHO. You'd probably be best served with an iPad Pro.

For your use I would say the ipad pro. Actually, a smaller iPad might also be sufficient!

Throw in the keyboard for iPad pro if you're serious about replacing your macbook with it..

If you are looking for a conventional computer that likely has better support for apps, a MacBook Pro looks to be a better choice over the iPad Pro. The iPad Pro also looks pretty unwieldy so I wouldn't recommend it as a portable device too.

To me, an iPad's main appeal is portability, and a Pro goes against that.
