Why do I have the same sound with text messages and email?

Same sound with text message and email

I went to apple today and the tech that i had only showed me how to change the sounds and did not check to see if the sounds worked. When i asked her to check them she said that she had to get to her next appointment so i never got it fixed. I did change the sounds to be different, but they are still the same. What have others done to solve this problem? It is irritating when i get a sound that has always been my text message only to find out that it is my email and not my text message.

Go to Settings → Notifications→ Messages→ Sounds and then select the sound you want. Done!
