I tried to charge my battery and now my phone will not even turn on

Plugged my phone in to charge the battery and after several hours the phone will not turn on

While plugged in, press and hold both the power and home buttons until you see the  logo.

If that doesn't work, make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to have them diagnose the problem for you.
