Do you get any speed boost from using a Lightning cable on a USB3 port rather than USB2?

Welcome to iMore! The Apple OEM lightning cable is only USB 2.0 compliant so you probably won't see any noticeable improvement plugging it into a USB 3.0 port.

The lightning cable is what plugs into your iPhone to charge it. Are you possibly confusing it with the thunderbolt port on Macs?
