Many of us have childhood memories of floppy disks, monochrome monitors, and dot matrix printers. Some of us tinkered with aquamarine or hot orange colored iMacs in the late 90's. Some just had our first Apple experience on 9/25 when we picked up our first iPhone. Regardless of when you began your iLife, post a picture, and maybe a short description, of your first Apple memory!

My first Apple memory was an Apple IIc that my parents purchased in 1986. It had a monochrome monitor, a built-in floppy disk drive, no HDD, and no mouse. It was awesome! I was the envy of all of my friends, until my buddy's parents bought him an Apple IIGS.

I love how you still have your Performa sitting on your desk! Did you install El Capitan on it yet??

Heh, System 7....got it in High School since newspaper used LCs. I used it for word processing for years. I love Corel WordPerfect.

I'm a sucker for classic Apple. lots of good memories. We were using Apple IIs, Mac Classics, and LCs all growing up.

I remember the computer lab in elementary school had Apple IIe's. I was an Oregon Trail master.

My first apple product I personally brought was the iPhone 3gs, brilliant phone and never owned anything but iPhone's since, however my oldest apple product is a 1997 Powerbook G3 which a friend gave me as he knows how much of a fan I am. thumb_IMG_0461_1024.jpg - you can see how things have moved on lol

My very first iMac as a kid.

My first MacBook when I was a teen

And of course the first iPhone came out when I was a junior in HS. Everyone wanted to play with my phone because they'd never seen anything like it.

These are my first of first. I'm sure I'm missing something here.

Love the green iMac. I sold them one summer working for CompUSA. Hardly anybody bought them though because PCs ruled the world. My how things have changed.

My first Apple product was a hand me down iPhone 3GS. My first purchase Apple product was the 1st generation iPad. I loved it. I fell in love with iOS. When my android device drowned at work it led me to get an iPhone 4S which led me to upgrade to an iPhone 5 as soon as I was able to join T-Mobile's JUMP program. I've had everything from the 4S on.

I have a first gen iPad too. It's crazy just how heavy and clunky it feels next to an iPad Air.

Oh man, cubes are gorgeous. I've had a thought to go after one over the years as I don't have a PowerPC era OS X machine (my G3 runs Mac OS 9) but I do most of my retro-computing on my modern Macs now with emulators and don't touch my old hardware to much anymore.

Still if there was ever a computer that was pretty as a display piece, it'd be a G4 Cube!
