    I do the programming and it accepts it but it won't always work, temperature seems to be a factor

    I would suggest doing the the Touch ID over with clean dry fingers and see if that helps. Which device are you using? The second generation Touch ID on the 6s/6s Plus is FLAWLESS....NO PROBLEMS on my 6s Plus
