Why does my phone hesitate when I get an incoming call?

Mine used to do that. I just trained myself to wait an instance before saying, "hello". Not sure about a fix. I haven't noticed it in a while. I restored my phone earlier this year. Maybe that fixed it. Not sure. My cousin had the same problem on his iPhone 5 as well. Just wait a few seconds before answering.
