When I go to my calendar I see multiple appointments for the same event. I add "Go to Vet" and it's there 4 times. When i go to settings and Accounts I have my calendar linked to:
-iCloud
-Gmail
-Gmail 2nd account

So I know I can just unlink all but the iCloud but then how do I know that I am not loosing important appointment in the future by de-linking those calendars?

Well that can happen but it's a bit odd. If you create an event once in a gmail calendar (iCloud or any other) it should only show you the event once, linked to that calendar, unless you've created the same event multiple times and in different calendars.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendar >email accounts > Toggle off all email for Calendar except the one main Gmail account. Or toggle all Gmail off for Calendar and only iCloud on.
