How do I export a photo attached to an email to Photos on my Mac?

How do I export a photo attached to an email to Photos on my Mac.

I am not happy that I have lost iPhoto!! I tried using a right mouse click on the photo and then clicked on export to Photos, but I can't find the pictures in Photos

Have you looked in your pictures folder or the download folder?
