Apple's Phil Schiller addresses 16GB iPhones, single-USB MacBooks, and thinness vs. battery life | The Verge
It would probably cost Apple $5-$6 to up the base iPhone to 32gb. 16gb is just not enough anymore, and I don't think that it is fair to have to pay an extra $100 to go to 64gb, when a base model at 32gb would be fine. His statement of using the cloud is a lot of smoke-blowing, IMO. He is really saying "we don't want to give up any of our ridiculous profit margin, and want you to pay another $100 for $10 of memory".
Then as far as batteries go, he said that larger batteries take longer to charge. What? I have never considered charging time as a factor when I could get longer battery life. He needs to just keep quiet, IMO.
Rant over.
