Do you have Notes configured to sync to your device? Are you in the correct folder? Do you have the correct account selected?

Check your email notes folders. Toggle notes on for iCloud.

I'm not sure where your issue might be. Are you syncing notes from an email provider? I have not had any issues with my notes in Outlook on an iPhone 5S running iOS8.0.2.

I've found it best to toggle all email accounts off for notes, and toggle notes on for iCloud. No complications or losing notes that way.
Lost notes are usually in an email notes folder. If you don't see a notes folder in your email, how to Settings and toggle Notes OFF for that email account. Then go check the Notes folder in that email.



