Sadly, the regular consumer who watches this video wouldn't care about the fact that the amount of force required to damage a phone to that extend, is way more than what the device would be subjected to from regular use.
They will watch this and think that these phones are fragile. Which is exactly what SquareTrade wants people to think. The video is simply capitalising on the over sensationalised "bendgate" in hopes that more people will buy protection plans from them. While it is informative for geeks like myself to see how much force the phones can take, the video to me is simply a marketing campaign. :/
