Iphone 4 earpiece volume problem?

My iphone 4 earpiece is getting too quiet for me. Hitting the does nothing. I cannot hear some people and have started to need to use speaker. Earpiece is clean. I do not have the protective plastic on the front.

I suggest you make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store and have them diagnose the problem for you.
