The 'Gold Master' should be out sometime before 9/9, and iOS8 should come same day as devices, or maybe the Monday before...

I'd say if the event is on the 9th then iOS 8 is released to the public the 16th or 17th, and hardware on the 19th. Pre-order online 9/12
