How many apps are really necessary?

Spencer, I started with an 8 gb iPhone 4. Used it about 1 1/2 years. Upgraded last August to the 16 gb iPhone 5. I'm ready, like you, for some space. Even if just 32 gb. That would be huge for me, because I don't put a lot of music on my phone. But I am an app person. They continue to amaze me. And they are getting better and bigger in size. Facebook was about 23 mb when I got my first iPhone. Now it's 104 mb before any added stuff. Most of my apps are getting bigger with each update. Plus all those new apps I just gotta have. I want the 64 gb. It would probably have to be the 4.7" model due to high costs and empty pockets. Or! I may get a 64 gb 5s if Verizon offers them free on contract, then save a bit more and get an iPad. I can deal with a 5s phone if I had an iPad.

Do you have a lot of music? I see many with 30 or 40 gb of music and I don't get why. There's ways to manage music. You might check if you have a lot of "other" taking space. I also see those who never delete their messages and have 3 or 4 gb of messages. I've had my 5 for a year, and have about 5 gb available.

I currently have 211. Like Karen I am an app hoarder... One day I may need the app... I have a weather app problem and an odd addiction to calendar apps as well.

My other is only 1.7 GB, I do have about 18.7 GB of music on my phone and about 800 MB of photos & videos, about 30 GB of apps and I have 5.5GB free space out of 56.7 GB available.

I'm sadly a huge part of apples profits that they know nothing about. Lol phones, music, movies. I spend about 200.00 a month on iTunes easily.

I am definitely getting a 64 this year. Hopefully the iPhone 6 starts at 32 GB so the 64 GB upgrade only costs $100 instead of $200 if it starts at 16 GB.

Boy, does that describe me very well. Careless with Space. I download enough useless apps to fill an iPhone pretty quick,
