New WebCL toolkit hooks browser apps into GPUs – and that's not good news for Apple • The Register

Maybe Chen will start calling iOS users 'app-huggers'.

My personal opinion is that name-calling is very bad, and while I may imagine that Chen would call iOS users names, it would not condone it myself.

Web apps have been about to over take native apps since the iPhone supported third party apps (ios2 or 3?). Still hasn't happened. It might eventually but I do t think it will be a quick transition. After all how many websites (not games or apps) are actually even mobile optimized and we've had browsers in our phones for a long time.
