PUBG - Help me with Reviews

Seriously, I haven't played this game yet. I don't think it really a game worth getting addicted to. But I'm being forced from all my friends to try it out.
I need to know more about the experience from people who have played it.
Please tell me how it is and should I play? If there's a chance of getting addicted to it. let me know how should I preserve that from happening?

PubG is easy but I prefer FORTNITE. And for the addiction part, it's easy if you have self-control or you just set a time period in a day that you should play only in that time.
