Now I have 2 accounts and all my previous rankings and standings are gone!

Welcome to iMore! You shouldn't have to create a new Game Center account. I recommend signing out of Game Center and then signing back in with your existing account. Your game data should be restored.

You should be able to switch back to the other account. Why did you create a new account? Just sign out in Settings > Game Center. Then enter your original account credentials.
